Concern at Arsenal: Saka and Ødegaard Injuries Raise Alarms

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed his concern after the 5-0 victory over Leeds, due to injuries to two key players: Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard. Saka, who scored Arsenal’s second goal, suffered a hamstring injury and had to be substituted. Arteta fears the injury is “significant”.
Bukayo Saka tuvo que abandonar el campo por una lesión en el tendón de la corva a los 54 minutos.
Captain Ødegaard was also forced to leave the field in the first half due to a shoulder injury, which will require an assessment to determine the severity. These injuries add to that of Kai Havertz, who is already out due to a knee injury, which poses a challenge for Arteta, especially at a crucial moment in the season. The Arsenal coach commented that “Bukayo, while running with the ball, felt something in his hamstring”, and added that “for Bukayo to come off, it surely seems like something significant”.

Those [injuries] are the negative aspects of the day. But we are two weeks [from the season] and we have already lost Kai, Martin and Bukayo. So it tells you how well equipped you have to be in this league to manage and maintain the level we want.

Despite the bad news, Arsenal also celebrated the arrival of Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyökeres’s first two goals in the Premier League. Arsenal faces Liverpool at Anfield in their last match before the international break on August 31st. They will also learn their Champions League rivals on Thursday.
