Amorim Covers the Expenses of His Staff for the Europa League Final

Manchester United’s coach, Rubén Amorim, has made a decision that has generated surprise and admiration. The strategist has decided to cover the expenses of 30 members of his work team so they can take their families to the Europa League final that will be played in Bilbao, Spain.

Manchester United will face Tottenham Hotspur in Bilbao on May 21st. The winner, in addition to the title, will secure a place in the next edition of the Champions League.

Amorim’s decision comes after the club informed its coaching staff, physiotherapists, and support staff that they would have to pay for their own tickets for the match.

This measure contrasts with the austerity policy that the club is implementing, which includes the elimination of up to 200 jobs at Old Trafford this summer. The club only offered its staff the possibility of buying two tickets for the final.

Amorim intervened to cover the costs of his support team.

According to sources, Amorim made this decision to reward and recognize the contribution and commitment of his team during the last six months, including staff members with lower salaries. Amorim made it clear to the management that he would assume the costs so that each member could bring up to two companions.
