Massimiliano Allegri Returns to AC Milan
AC Milan has announced the return of Massimiliano Allegri as their new coach, marking his second spell in charge of the Italian team. Allegri, who already managed Milan between 2010 and 2014, takes over following the departure of Sérgio Conceição.
Allegri’s appointment comes after a disappointing season for the club, which finished in eighth position in Serie A, 19 points behind the champion, Napoli, and without qualifying for European competitions.

During his first spell, Allegri led Milan to win the Serie A title in 2011. The club hopes his return will propel the team towards glory, seeking to improve their performance in the upcoming season.
After leaving Milan, Allegri had two successful periods at the helm of Juventus, where he won five additional Italian championships and five Coppa Italias. He also led the team to the Champions League final on two occasions. Allegri, 57, left Juventus in controversial circumstances at the end of the 2023-24 season, two days after winning the Coppa Italia final against Atalanta.At Milan, Allegri will take the reins of a team that includes players like US internationals Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah. Pulisic is coming off the best season of his career, with 17 goals and 12 assists in all competitions.
