OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely suffered a sprained ankle on Tuesday and is expected to miss “a few weeks,” according to coach John Harbaugh. The injury occurred at the end of practice, during a one-on-one drill against safety Sanoussi Kane. Likely had to be carted off the field and then limped into the locker room.

“We’ll know more on Wednesday,” Harbaugh commented. “We’ll get an MRI and see exactly what needs to be done. It’s good that this is happening so early in camp.”

Likely, 25 years old, is entering the final year of his rookie contract and is scheduled to earn $3.4 million this season. Drafted in the fourth round of the 2022 draft, Likely set personal records last season with 42 receptions for 477 yards and six touchdowns. The Ravens boast one of the deepest tight end groups in the NFL, with Likely, Mark Andrews, and Charlie Kolar. All three tight ends are scheduled to be free agents after this season. Likely has been consistent in his three-year career, missing two games due to injury. He was out for one game in 2022 due to an ankle injury and missed a game last season due to a hamstring injury. If Likely misses considerable time, Kolar could have a more significant role. Known more for his blocking, Kolar caught nine passes last season for 131 yards and a touchdown.
