Chicago will host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026
The city of Chicago is preparing to host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026, the league announced this Thursday. The event will take place at the United Center on Saturday, July 25th. This will be the second time Chicago hosts this prestigious event. Previously, in 2022, the city hosted the game, although on that occasion it was held at the Wintrust Arena, the main venue for the Chicago Sky of the WNBA. The United Center, home to the NBA’s Bulls and the NHL’s Blackhawks, offers a larger capacity, with around 20,900 seats available for basketball events, compared to the 10,380 of the Wintrust Arena. Despite the change of main venue, Wintrust Arena will continue to be part of the All-Star festivities, as it will be the stage for the three-point contest and the skills challenge, scheduled for July 24. In addition, WNBA Live, the interactive festival for the league’s fans, will take place at McCormick Place in Chicago during All-Star weekend. The WNBA is thrilled to bring the AT&T WNBA All-Star back to Chicago, which will undoubtedly offer unforgettable competition and community activities. Along with the Chicago Sky, we look forward to celebrating the brightest stars of the game, engaging WNBA fans from around the world, and showcasing the energy of one of the most iconic basketball cities. This event will mark the second consecutive WNBA All-Star Game in the Midwest region, as Indiana hosted the event earlier this year. The Chicago Sky are thrilled to welcome the 2026 WNBA All-Star game back to Chicago. We are eager to build on the success of the previous All-Star game and celebrate the explosive growth of the league by showcasing the biggest stars of the WNBA on a world-class stage.
