The organizers of the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup have confirmed that attendees of the match between England and Australia in Brighton on Saturday consumed all the beer available in the stadium.
Sarah Massey, Managing Director of the Rugby World Cup England 2025, confirmed at a press conference on Tuesday that some fans were unable to buy their preferred drink. This happened after they were asked if reports that the venue had run out of beer were true.
The Asahi brewery is a tournament sponsor. Massey indicated that they corrected the shortage for Sunday’s match in the same stadium where New Zealand defeated Ireland.
