Kevin Sinfield has expressed his full support after learning of the diagnosis of motor neuron disease (MND) of former England rugby captain Lewis Moody.
Sinfield, who has been a fervent advocate in the fight against MND, has raised over £10 million to fund research and raise awareness of this disease since his friend and teammate at Leeds Rhinos, Rob Burrow, was diagnosed in 2019.
Burrow passed away due to complications from the disease at the age of 41, in June of last year.Lewis Moody capitaneó a Inglaterra durante su carrera de rugby.Currently the coach of the England rugby team, Sinfield told the PA news agency: “Obviously, I am very sorry about the news. I would like to wish Lewis, his entire family and friends the best.”

Sinfield received a CBE last year for his services to the EMN community.
Sinfield’s next fundraising challenge, “7 in 7: Together”, is scheduled for early December, when he will run seven ultramarathons in seven days through seven cities or regions.
In May 2023, Sinfield carried his friend Burrow over the finish line at the Leeds Marathon.
