Kevin Sinfield has expressed his full support after learning of the diagnosis of motor neuron disease (MND) of former England rugby captain Lewis Moody.
Since his friend and teammate at Leeds Rhinos, Rob Burrow, was diagnosed with the disease in 2019, Sinfield has raised more than £10 million to fund research and raise awareness of MND.
Burrow passed away at 41 years old last June due to complications from the disease.
Sinfield received a CBE last year for his services to the ENM community. Sinfield’s next fundraising challenge, 7 in 7: Together, is scheduled for early December, when he will run seven ultramarathons in seven days through seven cities or regions. In May 2023, Sinfield carried his friend Burrow over the finish line at the Leeds Marathon.I will support in any way I can. We have to keep fighting together against MND.
