Louis Rees-Zammit returns to the Wales national team this autumn, marking his return to rugby after a hiatus in which he pursued his dream in the NFL.
The return of Rees-Zammit comes two years after his last participation with Wales, after signing a contract with the NFL through its International Player Pathway (IPP) program. This led him to be part of the training teams of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The 24-year-old player decided to return to rugby in August, signing a one-season contract with the Bristol Bears.
During his absence, Wales has suffered a streak of 18 consecutive losses, from the 2023 Rugby World Cup to a test match in Japan in July. This period also saw the departure of coach Warren Gatland, with Steve Tandy now in charge.
