Louis Rees-Zammit has confirmed his return to rugby, after his brief stint in American football, by signing with the Bristol Bears. The 24-year-old player, with 32 international appearances for Wales, announced in January 2024 his decision to leave rugby to participate in the NFL International Player Pathway Program. Initially, he signed with the Kansas City Chiefs and then with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but he failed to establish himself in either team, ultimately opting to return to his roots.

In statements to the club’s website, Rees-Zammit expressed: “I want the fans to get out of their seats, create exciting moments and help people fall in love with the game. I am excited to return to rugby at a club that demands those values.”Bristol Bears was the obvious choice for me.
