Delay in Rugby Match Due to Trapped Parachutist
An unusual incident delayed the rugby Champions Cup match between Toulouse and Sale on Sunday. A parachutist, part of a pre-match exhibition, got stuck on the roof of the Stadium de Toulouse.
Images shared on social media captured the moment the parachutist, after gliding towards the stadium, got tangled in the edge of the roof, destroying his blue and white parachute.
The aerial athlete remained hanging for several minutes, while the fans were evacuated from the area and the staff installed an inflatable protective decoration below him.
Firefighters used a mechanical ladder to rescue the man, going up in a basket. It is presumed that his mission was to deliver the ball for the start of the game.
