Max Ojomoh revealed that the abundance of talent in England’s midfield was the inspiration for his outstanding performance at the Allianz Stadium against Argentina on Sunday. Ojomoh, who entered the field as a last-minute replacement in the inside center after Fraser Dingwall’s injury due to a strain, responded with a stellar performance that earned him the Player of the Match award. He scored a try and assisted in two others. This situation poses a challenge for Steve Borthwick when selecting the team for the opening Six Nations match against Wales on February 7. Ojomoh, Dingwall, and Seb Atkinson are competing for a starting position in a position that has been problematic for England.

Ojomoh, after his second match with the English national team, commented:

Now I see Seb, Fraser, Ollie Lawrence, Luke Northmore and many centers emerging, and that kind of competition drives everyone to perform at a higher level.

Max Ojomoh
He added:

It’s a very competitive position, so there are many contenders for a spot in the field. If you’re in shape, you keep going.

After opening the scoring with a try in the 10th minute, Ojomoh assisted Immanuel Feyi-Waboso and Henry Slade in scoring tries. Feyi-Waboso scored a try after receiving a precise pass from Ojomoh, while Slade benefited from his teammate’s run and pass to score a crucial try.

My favorite part was the cross pass because I had never done it in the Prem.

Ojomoh also expressed:

I’ve tried it when I’ve had penalty advantage and missed them all, so it was a great moment for it to work. And to kick it to a very good friend, Manny [Feyi-Waboso], I’m glad he got the try.

And about the ball pass:

I was very surprised by the offload. I saw Sladey and thought ‘nothing to lose, better to try’.

Max OjomohEngland secured their eleventh consecutive victory by defeating the Pumas and is emerging as a serious contender for the Six Nations title.

I’m very happy for the team, who have achieved four out of four this month. It’s a great note to finish on.

Max Ojomoh
Concluded:

It has been a very good campaign from a very well-knit team. It’s good to be a part of it.
