Mitchell, who has yet to lose a match as England’s coach since taking over in 2023, received the recognition after the final whistle. He has guided the team to two consecutive Six Nations Grand Slams and capped off the year with the World Cup. The victory extended England’s unbeaten run to 33 matches, dating back to the 2022 World Cup final. Canada’s Sophie De Goede was named World Rugby Player of the Year, beating England’s Meg Jones and New Zealander Jorja Miller.
