Kevin Sinfield has expressed his full support after learning of the diagnosis of motor neuron disease (MND) of former England rugby captain Lewis Moody. Sinfield, who has been a fervent advocate in the fight against MND, has raised over 10 million pounds sterling (approximately 13.4 million dollars) to fund research and raise awareness of this disease since his friend and teammate at Leeds Rhinos, Rob Burrow, was diagnosed in 2019. Burrow sadly passed away at the age of 41 in June last year due to complications from the disease.

Currently, Sinfield serves as the coach of the England rugby team and stated to the PA news agency: “I am obviously very saddened by the news. I would like to wish Lewis, and all his family and friends, the best. I will support in any way I can. We must continue to fight together against MND.”
