Kevin Sinfield has expressed his commitment to “support in any way possible” after learning of the diagnosis of motor neuron disease (MND) of former England rugby captain Lewis Moody. Sinfield, who has been a key figure in the fight against MND, has raised over £10 million (approximately $13.4 million) to fund research and raise awareness of this disease since his friend and Leeds Rhinos teammate, Rob Burrow, was diagnosed in 2019. Burrow passed away due to complications from the disease at the age of 41 last June.

Currently the coach of the England rugby team, Sinfield told the PA news agency: “Obviously, I am very saddened by the news. I would like to wish Lewis, and all his family and friends, the best.”

I will support in any way I can. We have to keep fighting MND together.
