Mitchell, who has yet to experience a defeat as England’s coach since taking over in 2023, received the recognition after the final whistle.
His leadership has led the team to achieve two consecutive Grand Slams in the Six Nations, culminating the year with the conquest of the World Cup.
This victory extends England’s unbeaten run to 33 matches, going back to the 2022 World Cup final. Canada’s Sophie De Goede was named World Rugby Player of the Year, beating England’s Meg Jones and New Zealander Jorja Miller.
