England and Wales will face each other in the group stage of the 2027 Rugby World Cup
The draw for the 2027 Rugby World Cup has produced an exciting match between England and Wales in the group stage. Tonga and Zimbabwe complete Group F.
This will be the first encounter between both nations in the World Cup since 2015, when Wales prevailed with a score of 28-25.
If England manages to win Group F, they will face a potentially more complicated crossover in the round of 16 than the winners of Groups A, B, C, and D, who will face the best third-placed teams.
However, this also means that they will likely avoid the other group winners until at least the semi-finals.
Australia, the host country, was left out of the top six teams in the first pot and was paired with New Zealand in Group A.
Hong Kong, which is debuting in the tournament, will face a tough challenge in the same group, along with Chile. For its part, South Africa, two-time defending champion, will be in Group B with Italy, Georgia and Romania.
France leads Group E, which also includes Japan, while Argentina and Fiji are in Group C.

The next men’s Rugby World Cup will expand for the first time since 2003, becoming the largest tournament in its history, with a record 54 matches.
The eventual winners will have to play seven matches to lift the Webb Ellis Cup, although they will have one less match in the group stage and an extra knockout match.
The tournament is scheduled to begin on October 1st at Perth Stadium and will conclude on November 13th at Stadium Australia in Sydney.
