England vs Argentina: Ford 100 caps, Atkinson and Muir debut
Seb Atkinson, a promising center, and Will Muir, a talented winger, are ready to debut with the England national team. Coach Steve Borthwick has selected these players for the match against Argentina in La Plata on Saturday, a match that will also mark a milestone for George Ford, who will celebrate his hundredth match with the national team. England is presented with some important absences due to the British & Irish Lions tour. However, this situation gives Borthwick the opportunity to forge “test match animals”, as he himself described them during the week, including Atkinson in his plans. Borthwick has especially praised Atkinson, highlighting his tireless work in the field. The coach assures that Atkinson has broken “all GPS records” in training, thanks to his high work intensity. Ford, the fly-half who will reach 100 matches with England, will share the team’s captaincy with hooker Jamie George.

George [Ford] has been an outstanding player for over a decade. Reaching 100 matches is a remarkable achievement and says a lot about the professional and the person he is. Everyone on the team is incredibly proud to share this moment with him.

In the lineup, Ben Spencer will partner with Ford at scrum-half, while Atkinson will play alongside Henry Slade in midfield. The back three will be composed of Muir, Tom Roebuck and Freddie Steward. Up front, George will be joined by Fin Baxter and Joe Heyes in the front row. Charlie Ewels and Alex Coles will form the second row pairing. The back row will be made up of Tom Willis, Ben Curry and Sam Underhill. Guy Pepper, the third-row player, could make his debut from the bench.

After defeating the British & Irish Lions in Dublin, they [Argentina] arrive at this series as favorites. They are brilliantly led by Julián Montoya and we know it will be a great challenge.
