England Crushes Scotland and Advances to the Women’s Rugby World Cup Semifinals
In an exciting quarter-final match of the Women’s Rugby World Cup, England demonstrated their superiority by defeating Scotland with a resounding score of 40-8 at Ashton Gate.
The “Red Roses”, considered favorites, met expectations, securing their place in the semi-finals, where they will face France next week.
Despite the difficult weather conditions, with heavy rain, England imposed their game, especially thanks to the strength of their forwards, who dominated the match with aggression and power.Holly Aitchison was one of the key figures of the match, accumulating 15 points for her team.
England, although with some important absences, such as Hannah Botterman and Ellie Kildunne, had the return of their captain Zoe Aldcroft. John Mitchell chose to line up Aitchison as fly-half and Helena Rowland as fullback.
