EDMONTON, Alberta – The Edmonton Oilers made a change in goal for Game 3 of their second-round playoff series against the Vegas Golden Knights. Stuart Skinner replaced Calvin Pickard on Saturday night.

Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch said Pickard, who took over as Edmonton’s starter during the first-round series against the Los Angeles Kings, was day-to-day.

Pickard had a standout performance in Edmonton’s 5-4 overtime victory in Game 2, making 28 saves. However, he appeared to be uncomfortable in the third period and was seen shaking his left leg.

Pickard replaced the regular season starting goalie, Skinner, when the Oilers were down 2-0 against the Kings in the first round.

The Oilers achieved six consecutive victories with Pickard in goal and took a 2-0 series lead, playing at home at Rogers Place.

Skinner has a 19-17 record in playoff games with the Oilers.
