Utah Mammoth Signs Jack McBain to Multi-Year Contract

The Utah Mammoth have secured the center Jack McBain, signing a five-year contract for $21.25 million. The announcement was made on Monday, less than 24 hours after the team opted for salary arbitration with the forward, who was a restricted free agent. The agreement establishes a cap hit of $4.25 million for McBain through the 2029-30 NHL season.

“He’s a big, strong, and physical player who competes with intensity every night and brings a toughness to our group. Jack is an important part of the championship-caliber team we are building, and we look forward to having him back on our roster in the foreseeable future,” commented General Manager Bill Armstrong.

McBain, 25, arrives after setting a personal record with 27 points and participating in all 82 games of the season. He was one of six players who played in every game of the organization’s first season in Salt Lake City.

“Jack’s versatility as a player, his concern for his teammates, and his demonstrated willingness to do whatever it takes to win, are critical elements for the future success of our team,” said President of Hockey Operations, Chris Armstrong.
