Lane Lambert Takes the Helm of the Seattle Kraken
The Seattle Kraken have announced Lane Lambert as their new head coach, thus marking the third coach in the franchise’s history. Lambert takes over from Dan Bylsma, who was fired after one season. Lambert, 60, arrives in Seattle after his tenure as head coach of the New York Islanders, a position he held from 2022 until being fired on January 20, 2024. During his time with the Islanders, Lambert had a record of 61-46-20 and managed to qualify the team for the playoffs once.Previously, Lambert served as an assistant coach in Toronto.
I am very excited to become the head coach of the Seattle Kraken. When it came time to write a new chapter, I couldn’t think of a better fit.
