In an impressive milestone, Jaromir Jagr, at 53 years old, has begun his 38th season as a professional ice hockey player. The legendary athlete, playing for his hometown team, the Kladno Knights, participated in the 3-1 victory against Vitkovice last Friday in the Czech league. Jagr, who is a legend in the hockey world, played a total of 10 minutes and 8 seconds, and even participated in power plays. His season debut was delayed by a muscle problem. Jagr debuted with Kladno at age 16 and returned to the club in 2018 after being released by the Calgary Flames. Currently, Jagr is second on the NHL’s career points list, behind only Wayne Gretzky. With 766 goals in the NHL, Jagr is in fourth place all-time on that list. He played 11 seasons in Pittsburgh, where he won the Stanley Cup with the Penguins in 1991 and 1992.

Until the beginning of this year, Jagr combined his role as a player and owner of Kladno, dividing his time between finding sponsors, administrative tasks, and his time on the ice. Jagr acquired full ownership in 2017 and sold a majority stake in Kladno in January to financially strengthen the team. Jagr expressed his desire to complete the season, seeking to lead Kladno to the playoffs for the first time. They failed to reach the playoffs. Therefore, they have another chance this season.
