The legendary ice hockey player participated in the victory of his home team, Kladno Knights, over Vitkovice with a score of 3-1 in the Czech league. Jagr, an NHL legend, played on the fourth line and accumulated 10:08 minutes of ice time. His season debut was delayed due to a muscle problem, but he was finally able to join the team in this important match. This match marked the 15th game of the season for Kladno. Jagr’s longevity in the sport is notable, as he played at 53 years and 244 days old. Jagr debuted with Kladno at age 16 and returned to the club in 2018, after being released by the Calgary Flames. Currently, Jagr is second on the NHL’s career points list, only behind Wayne Gretzky. With 766 goals in the NHL, Jagr ranks fourth in the league’s history. During his career, he played 11 seasons in Pittsburgh, where he won the Stanley Cup with the Penguins in 1991 and 1992.Until the beginning of this year, Jagr combined his role as a player with that of owner of Kladno, dividing his time between finding sponsors, administrative tasks, and time on the ice. Jagr acquired full ownership in 2017 and sold a majority stake in Kladno in January to financially strengthen the team. Jagr expressed his desire to complete the season, seeking to take Kladno to the playoffs for the first time. In the previous season, they failed to reach the playoffs, so this season they have another chance.“He makes his presence felt in the locker room,” said forward Jakub Konecny. “We have a lot of fun with him.”
