Tyson Foerster Secures His Future with the Flyers: Signs $7.5 Million Contract
The Philadelphia Flyers have finalized the signing of a two-year contract with forward Tyson Foerster, valued at $7.5 million. The official announcement was made on Thursday by General Manager Daniel Briere.
This agreement establishes a $3.75 million annual impact on the salary cap for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 NHL seasons.
Foerster, 23, had a standout season, setting personal records with 25 goals, 18 assists, and a total of 43 points. Initially, he was scheduled to become a restricted free agent on July 1st, and will be again upon the completion of this new contract. Selected by the Flyers in the first round of the 2020 draft, at number 23, Foerster has accumulated 83 points in 166 games played in the league, all with the Philadelphia team. Recently, he represented Canada in the world hockey championship.
