Ryker Evans Secures His Future with the Seattle Kraken
Seattle Kraken defenseman Ryker Evans has signed a two-year contract extension, solidifying his position on the team through the 2026-27 season. The deal has an average annual value of $2.05 million. Evans, 23, had a standout first full season in the NHL, accumulating 25 points thanks to five goals and 20 assists in 73 games played. Selected by Seattle in the second round of the 2021 draft, Evans made his NHL debut on December 7, 2023.With a height of 6 feet and a weight of 195 pounds, the defenseman has 34 points in 109 NHL games. In addition, Evans represented Team Canada at this year’s world hockey championship, where he recorded two assists in eight games.Ryker took a step forward in his first full season in the NHL. He has shown consistent improvement and we are confident that he will take his game to another level next season. We are happy to have him under contract.
