Noah Cates Secures His Future with the Flyers

The Philadelphia Flyers have secured the continuity of forward Noah Cates with a four-year, $16 million contract.

The news was confirmed by Flyers general manager Danny Briere this Tuesday. The agreement establishes an impact of 4 million dollars annually on the team’s salary cap. Cates, 26, had a standout season, recording 16 goals and accumulating 37 points in 78 games played. Selected by the Flyers in the fifth round of the 2017 draft, Cates has participated in 235 NHL games throughout his career, scoring 40 goals and 62 assists, totaling 102 points.

The forward, standing 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 194 pounds, made his NHL debut on March 29, 2022, in his home state of Minnesota. His first goal in the league came on April 5, 2022, against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
