Blackhawks Secure Arvid Soderblom with Contract Extension
The Chicago Blackhawks have reached an agreement with goaltender Arvid Soderblom for a two-year contract extension worth $5.5 million, as announced on Saturday.
This agreement extends Soderblom’s stay with the team through the 2026-27 season and avoids the arbitration process.
Soderblom, 25 years old, recorded a 10-18-7 record with a 3.18 goals-against average and a .898 save percentage in 36 games (33 starts) last season. In addition, he set personal records in wins and games played.
Throughout his career with the Blackhawks, Soderblom has a record of 17-52-11, with a GAA of 3.55 and a save percentage of .889 in 86 games (77 as a starter). The goaltender joined the Blackhawks in 2021 as an undrafted free agent.
