Frank Nazar Secures His Future with the Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks have reached an agreement with forward Frank Nazar for a seven-year contract extension worth $46.13 million. The official announcement was made on Thursday, confirming that Nazar’s contract will have a $6.59 million impact on the salary cap starting in the 2026-27 season and will extend until 2033. Nazar, aged 20 and 21, accumulated 26 points in 53 games during the last season. His performance was crucial for the United States to win the world hockey championship for the first time since 1933. In addition, he was invited to the Olympic orientation camp, as a possible candidate to participate in Milan.

Frank elevated his game last season and proved to be one of the league’s most outstanding young talents. He drives the play with his speed and playmaking skills, creating problems for opponents and opportunities for his teammates every night. Frank is a fundamental piece of our team, and we are delighted to have him with us for the next eight seasons.

Nazar is expected to be a key piece in the long-term future of the Blackhawks, along with the 2023 first overall pick, Connor Bedard, and young defenseman Artyom Levshunov.
