Tampa Bay Lightning Arena Renames

TAMPA, Fla. – The home of the Tampa Bay Lightning will now be known as Benchmark International Arena, following a multi-year agreement announced Wednesday by the NHL team with the mergers and acquisitions firm. This change takes effect immediately. The building, inaugurated in 1996, had been known as Amalie Arena since 2014. It was the venue where the Lightning lifted the Stanley Cup in 2021, achieving their second consecutive championship. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Benchmark International and Vinik Sports Group, owner of the Lightning, indicated that their partnership includes more than $3 million in non-profit contributions to benefit the community.

Benchmark is a respected brand with global reach and strong ties to the Tampa Bay community.
