Avalanche Bolsters Offense with Victor Olofsson Acquisition
Denver, Colorado – The Colorado Avalanche have strengthened their offensive line by securing the signing of Victor Olofsson, a one-year deal that promises to bring depth and experience to the team.
Olofsson, 30 years old, joins the team after his time with the Vegas Golden Knights, where he proved to be a consistent player during the last season.
During his time with the Golden Knights, Olofsson accumulated 15 goals and 14 assists in 56 games. His performance included a notable point streak, setting a team record with points in 10 consecutive games, from December 4th to January 23rd.
In his first Stanley Cup playoffs experience, Olofsson contributed two goals, helping his team reach the second round.
Selected in the seventh round of the 2014 draft by Buffalo, Olofsson has accumulated a total of 105 goals and 106 assists in 370 games played with the Sabres and the Golden Knights.
Last season, Olofsson reached two significant milestones in his career: his 100th assist on January 17th and his 100th goal the following day.
With a height of 5 feet 11 inches and a weight of 180 pounds, Olofsson was included in the rookie team of the 2019-20 season.
Before his arrival in North America, Olofsson played in the Swedish Hockey League during the 2013-18 seasons.
In addition, he represented Sweden at the IIHF World Championship in 2021 and 2024, contributing to the bronze medal won last year.
