Xavier Worthy, Doubts for the Chiefs vs. Eagles Clash
After the last practice of the week, the Kansas City Chiefs have listed wide receiver Xavier Worthy as questionable for Sunday’s anticipated matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Worthy is recovering from a dislocated right shoulder. Although Worthy showed positive progress in his recovery during the week, he only participated in a limited way in Friday’s practice. It was the second consecutive day he was seen on the field, catching passes.Coach Andy Reid indicated that the chances of Worthy playing on Sunday are slim. However, he added that the receiver could do more exercises before the game as part of his recovery process. Worthy wore extra padding on his right shoulder, an injury suffered during a collision with Travis Kelce in the Week 1 loss against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chiefs are already facing challenges at the receiver position. Jalen Royals is ruled out for Sunday due to a right knee injury, and Rashee Rice, the team’s star receiver, is serving a six-game suspension. If not this Sunday, the Chiefs are hoping for Worthy’s return soon, possibly in Week 3 against the New York Giants. He did a little teamwork, but that was all. He is progressing very well.
