Treylon Burks Suffers Fractured Collarbone in Titans Training

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks suffered a fractured collarbone during Saturday’s open practice at Nissan Stadium, according to sources. The injury occurred while Burks made a spectacular one-handed catch during the team’s practice period. Burks managed to catch a deep pass from quarterback Cameron Ward along the sideline and caught it with one hand before falling to the ground. His shoulder hit the field first as he tried to prevent the ball from escaping after contact with the ground.

“Treylon Burks is currently being evaluated for a shoulder injury and we will have an update on his status in due course,” Titans coach Brian Callahan stated immediately after practice.

With Burks out for an indefinite time, the Titans are signing former Raiders wide receiver Ramel Keyton. Keyton played in eight games for Las Vegas last season, achieving only one reception. Burks arrived at training camp in good shape and made a solid first impression on the new general manager, Mike Borgonzi. The receiver, in his fourth year, suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during practice last October and missed the rest of the season. The ACL injury prevented Burks from fully participating in OTAs and minicamp. However, he was excited to return to the field when training camp began last week.

“In the last three years, my injuries limited me from being who I really am. I feel like I’m in a good place, man. God has brought me from the lowest to the highest and from the highest to the lowest. I am blessed for that,” Burks said after the first day of training camp.

The Titans selected Burks with the 18th pick in the 2022 draft. In three seasons, Burks has caught 53 passes for 699 yards and a touchdown in 27 games. The Titans did not exercise Burks’ fifth-year option for next season.
