Jeffery Simmons and L’Jarius Sneed, Out for the Titans

Tennessee Titans defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots due to a left hamstring injury suffered in the second quarter.

Titans medical staff attended to Simmons in the medical tent. After several attempts to return to the game, Simmons finally sat on the bench while the Titans defense took the field.

With Simmons out, the Patriots scored their first touchdown, going 93 yards in 11 plays that consumed almost seven minutes of the clock.

Before the game, Simmons had accumulated 23 pressures and 4.5 sacks this season, tied with Byron Murphy II as the leader in sacks among defensive tackles.

Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed was also ruled out after suffering a quadriceps injury during the third quarter. Sneed played 33 plays before being replaced by Darrell Baker Jr.

Sneed missed 12 games last season due to a quadriceps injury.
