Kayvon Thibodeaux Expressed Enthusiasm for the Giants’ New Addition
The talented New York Giants player, Kayvon Thibodeaux, has expressed his great enthusiasm for the arrival of Abdul Carter, the team’s new addition in the recent draft. Despite playing in the same position, Thibodeaux is optimistic about the prospect of sharing the field with Carter and Brian Burns.
Carter’s selection with the third draft pick has reinforced the Giants’ outside linebacker corps, an already talented group that includes Thibodeaux, selected at number 5 in 2022, and Pro Bowler Brian Burns. Thibodeaux, whose rookie contract was extended for a fifth year, shows no concern whatsoever.
I think Carter is a great player. We can use him in many different ways. I’m excited to see him come in, work hard, and see what we’re going to accomplish.

Thibodeaux was recognized as a local hero at the United Way of New York City’s Gridiron Gala, an event that celebrates the community work he does through his JREAM foundation.
The player is about to begin his fourth professional season with the Giants, and the extension of his contract for a fifth year assures him a salary of 14.8 million dollars. Thibodeaux sees this as a boost and motivation to move forward.
It’s another step. It’s more fuel for me. I feel blessed and honored to have another year in the league. We have a great team and we will do good things.

The focus will be on the Giants’ defensive line, especially their edge rushers. Thibodeaux and Burns have already demonstrated their ability with double-digit sack seasons, and now Carter joins the mix.
Thibodeaux is excited about the possibility of the three players sharing the field, assuming multiple roles. Coach Brian Daboll and General Manager Joe Schoen plan to use Carter in various positions, leveraging his experience as a linebacker at Penn State.
The organization has made it clear that Thibodeaux is a fundamental piece and that you can never have enough players capable of pressuring the quarterback. In addition, the Giants added Chauncey Golston as a free agent this offseason.
Thibodeaux, who missed five games last season due to a wrist injury, accumulated 5.5 sacks. In his first three professional seasons, he has 21 sacks and remains key in the Giants’ future plans.
Off the field, Thibodeaux has made his mark, as demonstrated by the recognition as a local hero, sharing honors with New York Jets quarterback Tyrod Taylor, who is his friend and mentor.
Thibodeaux expressed his gratitude for the award and his commitment to the community, highlighting his desire to be a role model both on and off the field.
