Aaron Rodgers Suffers Wrist Injury: Concern in the Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, could face time off due to a possible injury to his left wrist, according to initial reports. The situation arose during Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, where Rodgers suffered the injury in the second quarter. The player will undergo further tests this Monday to determine the severity of the injury and the estimated recovery time. Rodgers did not return to the game after the injury, it was initially reported that he had a hand injury, but Steelers coach Mike Tomlin confirmed it was the wrist.

I was excited about the victory. I only spoke with him, but that’s all we talked about. We didn’t talk about his injury. We talked about the importance of the victory.

The injury occurred when Rodgers was tackled after throwing the ball on a second-and-goal play. Although he initially stayed in the game for one more play, blood was noticed on his hand when he went to the bench. The substitute, Mason Rudolph, revealed that Rodgers indicated to him at halftime that he would be the one to play the second half. Rodgers did not return to the field after halftime. Rudolph led the offense in the second half, completing 12 of 16 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown. Pittsburgh wide receiver Calvin Austin III expressed his confidence in Rudolph, who had starting experience with the Steelers in the 2023 season. The concern about injuries continued when running back Jaylen Warren suffered an ankle injury, although he returned to the game. Warren described his injury as a “tweak”, and said the team was being cautious, as they have many games ahead. With Warren out, the team relied on Kenneth Gainwell and Kaleb Johnson to close out the game.
