Steelers Get Key Pieces Back to Face the Bears

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ defense will be near full strength when they face the Chicago Bears and their quarterback, Caleb Williams.

Both defensive tackle Cam Heyward and cornerback Darius Slay have been upgraded from their questionable designation and no longer have any designation for Sunday’s game.

Both players are expected to participate, as announced by the team after Saturday’s training.

Heyward and Slay were limited in Friday’s practice. Heyward suffered an ankle injury and was seen with a boot after practice, while Slay had a partial rest day as he continued to work through concussion protocol.

Although the defense received good news, quarterback Aaron Rodgers is still in doubt due to his fractured left wrist. Rodgers partially participated in practice on Thursday and Friday after missing Wednesday’s work. Rodgers wore a black wrist stabilizer in practice and said the key to his availability on Sunday is being able to protect himself.
