Matthew Stafford Returns to Rams Training
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has returned to action, participating in his first practice with the team this Monday at training camp.
Stafford, 37, had been out of practice due to a back disc injury. Previously, he had only thrown passes in a training session two weeks ago.Last week, although coach Seran McVay expected his return, Stafford did not participate in training. Instead, he spent time in a “restoration and rejuvenation” chamber located near the Rams’ training camp.
McVay explained that the camera is used for recovery, but it’s something “normal for any of our players” and “not specifically related to Stafford’s back.”
The coach has emphasized that, although caution is being taken with Stafford’s back, he would be available to play if it were the regular season.
