Renton, Wash. – Seattle Seahawks running back Kenny McIntosh may have suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during Saturday’s practice, according to a source. This is pending further testing.

McIntosh was visibly injured during a special teams period early in practice. His initial reaction and inability to put weight on his left leg suggested a serious injury.

Selected in the seventh round of the 2023 draft, McIntosh was competing for the third running back position, behind Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet. The Seahawks also drafted Damien Martinez in the seventh round to compete for that role.

George Holani and undrafted rookie Jacardia Wright round out the team’s running back depth.

McIntosh’s possible absence could also affect the Seahawks’ special teams, as he was a candidate to be one of their kick returners. Last season, he averaged 25.5 yards on six returns, in addition to running 31 times for 172 yards.
