Kenny McIntosh Suffers Knee Injury: Possible ACL Tear

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenny McIntosh may have suffered a torn ACL during Saturday’s practice, sources close to the team reported.

McIntosh was injured during a special teams session at the start of practice. His immediate reaction and inability to put weight on his left leg suggest the severity of the injury, being helped off the field by Seahawks personnel.

Selected in the seventh round of the 2023 draft, McIntosh was competing for the third running back spot, behind Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet. Damien Martinez, also drafted in the seventh round, was competing for the same role. George Holani and undrafted rookie Jacardia Wright complete the backfield depth.

McIntosh’s possible absence could also affect the Seahawks’ special teams, as he was a candidate to be one of the kick returners. Last season, he averaged 25.5 yards on six kickoff returns, in addition to running 31 times for 172 yards.
