Alvin Kamara Injures Knee and Misses Game Against the Falcons
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara was ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons due to a knee injury sustained during the first half of the game.
Kamara, 30, apparently twisted his knee when tackled by Falcons linebacker Kaden Elliss while attempting to catch a pass in the first quarter. After the play, the player went to the medical tent and was later seen jogging on the sideline to test the injury, but did not return to the game.
Initially, he was considered doubtful to return, but was ultimately ruled out in the third quarter.
This knee injury is new for Kamara, who has been dealing with an ankle injury for much of the season, but had not missed any games until now. Before his injury against the Falcons, Kamara had run three times for 11 yards and made two receptions for 4 yards.
So far this season, Kamara has accumulated 471 rushing yards and a touchdown, as well as 186 receiving yards.
Rookie running back Devin Neal replaced Kamara in the game. It should be remembered that running back Kendre Miller is on the reserve list due to a knee injury.
