Chop Robinson Returns to Practice, Hill Absent Due to Injury
Miami Dolphins linebacker Chop Robinson has returned to practice this Thursday, according to coach Mike McDaniel. This comes a day after Robinson left a joint practice with the Detroit Lions due to a rib injury. Robinson was carted off the practice field on Wednesday, but posted on social media that same night that his injury was not serious. McDaniel clarified this Thursday that the team took precautions with the former first-round pick, but that his injury would not prevent him from practicing.Robinson had six sacks as a rookie last season and has received positive reviews for his performance during this summer’s training camp. On the other hand, Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill will not participate in practice. Hill is suffering from an oblique injury that has kept him as a limited participant or non-participant in practices for the last two weeks. McDaniel indicated that Hill wants to play, but the Dolphins’ training staff is concerned that the injury will worsen. It was a shot to the ribs and we had to make sure there were no fractures or anything like that. He’s definitely sore, but he’ll practice today.

Dolphins linebacker Jaelan Phillips also did not practice this Thursday due to an unspecified injury, and running back De’Von Achane was not seen by reporters at Thursday’s practice. If Tyreek didn’t have to answer to anyone, he would have practiced yesterday, and I fear we could be talking about a long-term injury. I’m glad our training staff understood the magnitude of a further or greater aggravation of something and was proactive.
