The Las Vegas Raiders officially announced Klint Kubiak as their new head coach this Monday. Kubiak signed a five-year contract with the Raiders. The team shared a video on Monday night showing Kubiak and his family arriving in Las Vegas, being greeted by Raiders general manager John Spytek.

The official presentation of Kubiak will take place at a press conference scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. The now former Seahawks offensive coordinator confirmed that he would leave Seattle after the 29-13 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX to take over as Raiders coach.

“You know I’m going to Las Vegas,” Kubiak said from the field at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. “I’m excited about that.”

When asked again if he was leaving, Kubiak added: “Of course I am, I’m leaving.” Klint Kubiak, son of former Denver Broncos coach Gary Kubiak, will be the fifth Raiders coach since 2021. In his only season in Seattle, Kubiak helped the Seahawks’ offense, led by quarterback Sam Darnold, rank third in points (28.4 per game), eighth in total yards (351.4), tied for tenth in rushing yards (123.3), eighth in passing yards (228.1), thirteenth in offensive efficiency (50.76), and fifteenth in EPA (30.86) during the regular season.

“Guys, you’re getting someone special, someone who knows the game, someone who will do whatever it takes to win,” Seahawks star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba said after Sunday’s victory. “He’s an incredible coach. I was honored to play with him this year. The fact that he knew me, that he knew what I was like as a player and a person, is something special and something I don’t take for granted. So I wish him the best. We’re going to miss him.”

Darnold added: “Klint is the man. He’s a great person and a very smart guy… I think he’ll do great things in Las Vegas.” Kubiak will take over a Las Vegas team that had a 3-14 record this season, following the dismissal of coach Pete Carroll. Las Vegas has promising elements on offense, such as tight end Brock Bowers and running back Ashton Jeanty. It also holds the first selection in the 2026 NFL draft and is expected to select Indiana quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner, Fernando Mendoza.
