Josh Jacobs Injured in Match Against the Giants

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs left Sunday’s game against the New York Giants due to a knee injury sustained in the first half. The player was ruled out for the remainder of the game. Jacobs’ injury apparently occurred in the same offensive series where quarterback Jordan Love suffered a left shoulder injury. Love was able to return to the field for the start of the next series, after being evaluated in the locker room. However, Jacobs did not return to the game. It was not clear when exactly Jacobs got injured, as he was on the field throughout that offensive series, which culminated in a one-yard touchdown pass from backup quarterback Malik Willis to Christian Watson. This was the Packers’ first score, with 13:54 left in the second quarter. Jacobs’ last carry was on the penultimate play of the series, where he was stopped for no gain on second and goal from the 1-yard line. He remained on the field for the touchdown play and showed no signs of injury. Before leaving the game, Jacobs had run seven times for 40 yards. Love returned to the field on the next series, missing only the last seven plays of the previous possession.
