The 24-year-old player suffered the injury with 14:50 left in the preseason game, after a collision with the Falcons’ running back, Nathan Carter. The play resulted in the interruption of the game, with both teams showing solidarity. Coaches Dan Campbell of Detroit and Raheem Morris of Atlanta decided not to resume the game. Norris, former Fresno State star, participated in two regular season games and one playoff game as a rookie in 2024, after joining the team as an undrafted free agent.
