With Super Bowl LX already in the past, it’s time to analyze the 2026 NFL season with the new Power Rankings. Although free agency and the NFL Draft are yet to begin, it is possible to perform an early analysis of the 32 teams and anticipate what the offseason holds. To do this, Alofoke Deportes reporters were asked to describe each team’s offseason in three keywords. Some teams will be looking for a new starting quarterback, 10 teams will have new head coaches, and each will have to make crucial decisions in free agency. Below is an analysis of the teams that could dominate the 2026 season. A panel of more than 80 writers, editors, and television personalities evaluates the NFL teams, ranking them from 1 to 32.

Team Analysis

1. Seattle Seahawks Keywords for the off-season: “Break the bank” The Seahawks are facing contract renewals for two of their best players, wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba and cornerback Devon Witherspoon, who could seek extensions exceeding $30 million annually. In addition, wide receiver Rashid Shaheed, also selected for the Pro Bowl, will become a free agent, along with running back Kenneth Walker III and Coby Bryant. General Manager John Schneider will need to invest a considerable sum, especially considering the potential sale of the Seahawks for an estimated value of $7 billion to $8 billion. 2. New England Patriots

Keywords for the offseason: Late draft picks

Following their outstanding performance in the Super Bowl, the Patriots will not have high draft picks. Rebuilding the team with young talent remains the main objective, replicating the success of their 2025 draft class. The focus on youth is key to the team’s future. 3. Los Angeles Rams Keywords for the off-season: Fix special teamsThe Rams’ special teams were a key factor in four losses. Coach Sean McVay tried to fix the problems, but now the priority is to find a new special teams coordinator. 4. Denver Broncos Keywords for the off-season: “Finding dynamism” The Broncos need to improve their offense, which had a limited impact on the season. They will seek to increase performance and scoring ability, especially with Bo Nix on the field. They are focusing on improving the explosive play and the ability to advance on the field. 5. Buffalo Bills Keywords for the low season: The pressure is onWith the firing of Sean McDermott, new coach Joe Brady and general manager Brandon Beane face high expectations to help quarterback Josh Allen reach and win a Super Bowl. Decisions in the draft and free agency will be crucial to Allen’s future success.

6. San Francisco 49ers Keywords for the off-season: The next coreAfter exceeding expectations, the 49ers are looking to add more talent to maintain success. They need to strengthen the receiving corps and the pass rush, whether through the draft, trades, or signings. 7. Detroit Lions Keywords for the off-season: Restructure the offensive lineThe Lions are focusing on improving their offensive line, especially on the interior. Following Dan Skipper’s retirement, they need to reinforce this unit, which didn’t perform up to par last season. Taking a guard in the early rounds of the draft could be beneficial. 8. Philadelphia Eagles Keywords for the off-season: “Unlock the offense” The Eagles’ offense, despite being costly, did not perform as expected. With a new offensive coordinator, Sean Mannion, a more modern approach is expected. In addition, there is debate as to whether A.J. Brown will remain on the team. 9. Jacksonville Jaguars Keywords for the off-season: Pass rush helpThe Jaguars need to improve their ability to pressure the quarterback and get sacks. They will look to reinforce their pass rush, especially on the interior, either through trades or free agency.

Keywords for the off-season: Stick with the same

After retaining coach Matt LaFleur and general manager Brian Gutekunst, the Packers seek to reward the trust placed in them and aim to reach the Super Bowl. 11. Chicago Bears

Keywords for the low season: Tranquility, for once

The Bears will have a quieter offseason than usual. Although they will look for a new assistant general manager, offensive coordinator, and running backs coach, there are no drastic moves planned. With the combination of Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams, they seek to build a winning culture. 12. Kansas City Chiefs Keywords for the off-season: “Restart the rebuild” With Patrick Mahomes recovering from an injury, coach Andy Reid and general manager Brett Veach will look to improve the team. They need an offseason similar to that of 2022 to restart their quest for another Super Bowl. 13. Houston Texans Keywords for the off-season: “Improve within the margins” The Texans have little room under the salary cap, so their focus will be on improving from the divisional round. With four selections in the first 69 draft positions, they will focus on the offensive line, running backs, and safety. 14. Baltimore Ravens

Keywords for the offseason: All about Lamar

Baltimore’s priority is to reach an agreement with Lamar Jackson. Reducing Jackson’s salary cap impact and building an offensive scheme around him are key. 15. Los Angeles Chargers

Keywords for the off-season: Secure the edge

The Chargers need to secure their edge rusher group. With Odafe Oweh and Khalil Mack as free agents, and Tuli Tuipulotu eligible for an extension, general manager Joe Hortiz has a lot of work to do. 16. Cincinnati Bengals

Keywords for the off-season: Improve defense

Cincinnati needs to improve its defense, which performed below expectations. They need key players at every level and the development of players like Myles Murphy and DJ Turner II. 17. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Keywords for the off-season: “Regain your mojo” After a promising start, the Buccaneers missed the postseason. They need to find more standout players and improve their offense, especially an edge rusher. 18. Dallas Cowboys Keywords for the off-season: Fix the defenseThe Cowboys need to improve their defense.
