NFL Moves: Summary of the Latest Transfers Before the 2025 Season
The NFL preseason has concluded, and the 32 teams are preparing for the 2025 regular season, which will begin on September 4th. As teams adjust their final rosters, at Alofoke Deportes we keep you informed of every important move. Here are the most recent transfers, along with rumors about possible future moves:August 24:
The Packers acquire an OT (offensive tackle) from the Eagles. The Eagles receive: 2027 sixth-round pick. The Packers receive: OT Darian Kinnard. Kinnard joined the Eagles in 2024, playing only 71 snaps in the past regular season. He was drafted by the Chiefs in the fifth round in 2022. The Jaguars send OT Johnson back to the Eagles. The Jaguars receive: 2026 seventh-round pick. The Eagles receive: OT Fred Johnson. Johnson played 500 snaps in the regular season in Philadelphia from 2022 to 2024, most of them as a left tackle. He was working with the substitutes in Jacksonville this preseason. The Chiefs are negotiating with the Jets to get DT Nnadi back. The Chiefs receive: DT Derrick Nnadi, 2026 seventh-round pick. The Jets receive: 2026 sixth-round pick. The Chiefs acquired Nnadi via a trade with the Jets. The deal also includes an exchange of draft picks for 2027. The Chiefs desperately needed a veteran interior lineman for early downs. They also couldn’t risk the Jets trading Nnadi to another team before the cutdown day deadline of Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET, when teams must reduce their rosters to 53 players. Before this offseason, Nnadi had spent his entire seven-year career with the Chiefs.August 20:
The Broncos trade WR Vele to the Saints. The Saints receive: WR Devaughn Vele. The Broncos receive: 2026 fourth-round pick, 2027 seventh-round pick. The Broncos traded Vele, who was a revelation as a seventh-round pick in 2024, to New Orleans for a pair of draft picks. Vele caught 41 passes for 475 yards and three touchdowns as a rookie last season, finishing third on the Broncos in both receptions and receiving yards.August 17:
The Saints trade DT Saunders to the Jaguars for C Fortner. The Jaguars receive: DT Khalen Saunders. The Saints receive: C Luke Fortner. The Jaguars signed Saunders, who is entering his seventh NFL season, from the Saints hours after the two teams played a preseason game in New Orleans. Saunders played the last two seasons with the Saints after starting his career with the Chiefs, with whom he had a career-high 3.5 sacks in 2022. Fortner, a third-round pick in 2022, has started 34 games during three seasons in the NFL.August 4:
The Raiders trade Bennett to the Eagles for Booker. The Raiders receive: CB Jakorian Bennett. The Eagles receive: DT Thomas Booker IV. The Raiders are trading Bennett to the Eagles in exchange for Booker.
