Terry McLaurin Ready to Return to the Field with the Commanders
Washington Commanders receiver Terry McLaurin has confirmed that he will play this Sunday, marking his return after a month-long absence due to a right quadriceps injury. McLaurin has had a complicated season, playing only one game since Week 3 and missing the last three games. His return in Week 8 was marred by a re-aggravation of the injury. The Commanders, with a 3-8 record, will face the Denver Broncos (9-2) this Sunday night. The team has suffered six consecutive losses, partly due to the absence of key players such as starting quarterback Jayden Daniels, and two of their main receivers, McLaurin and Noah Brown, for much of the season. The three players were limited participants in Wednesday’s practice, the first time they have trained together since Week 2. Although Daniels is still questionable for Sunday, McLaurin assures that he is ready to play.McLaurin explained that he feels better about his injury, highlighting that he has been able to run consistently for two weeks without feeling discomfort. “I feel like my acceleration is there, like that extra gear I have, and I’m really not thinking about it at all,” he added. The return of McLaurin, and possibly Brown, could revitalize an offense that currently ranks 27th in points and 22nd in yards during their six-game losing streak.“I plan to play as much as I can and as they allow me,” McLaurin stated. “It’s very encouraging to hear from my teammates and coaches that they don’t feel I’ve lost a step. I have confidence in myself.”
