Drake London will miss the game against the Jets
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London will not be available for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets, as expected.
London has been dealing with a posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) sprain in his left knee since he left the game against the Carolina Panthers in Week 11, which was decided in overtime. He already missed last week’s game, where the Falcons secured a victory over the New Orleans Saints. The team still hopes to have him back before the end of the season.
In the nine games he has played, London has led the Falcons in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns. Before the injury, he had five games of six with more than 100 receiving yards. His career high came in 2024, when he had three games exceeding 100 yards.
The Falcons (4-7) are also without quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who will be out for the rest of the season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee.
Kirk Cousins will be the team’s starter for the rest of 2025 and, without London, will need wide receiver Darnell Mooney and tight end Kyle Pitts to step up. Cousins also has good chemistry with wide receiver David Sills V, who, like Mooney, caught a touchdown pass against the Saints.
