Detroit Lions Lose Dan Jackson to Injury
The Detroit Lions have placed rookie safety Dan Jackson on the injured reserve list after suffering a leg injury during Sunday’s practice. Head coach Dan Campbell indicated that the injury “doesn’t look good.”Jackson, selected in the seventh round of the draft, was considered a promising player after his outstanding performance at the University of Georgia, where he was recognized with All-SEC honors. In his final college season, Jackson finished third on the team in total tackles, establishing himself as one of the most consistent defenders. Coach Campbell did not provide a specific timeframe for Jackson’s return, limiting himself to confirming his inclusion on the injured list. In addition, cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr., the Lions’ second-round pick in 2024, suffered a shoulder injury that will keep him off the field for a while.Looks like he’ll be out for a while.

It’s hard to say. It’s a shoulder. I think it’s going to be a while at best.
